Production Manager
Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for providing operations leadership to enable efficient, safe, and cost-effective production while driving functional excellence across assigned departments. This role encompasses coordinating production schedules, optimizing workflow, managing team performance, and maintaining high-quality standards to meet company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and oversee the production process to ensure efficient output, adherence to
company standards, and alignment with the Del West Management System (QMS). - Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to monitor and measure progress
toward quality objectives, identifying and addressing root causes of negative trends. - Supervise, mentor, and develop production staff, ensuring proper training and fostering a culture
of accountability and continuous improvement. - Create a teamwork philosophy where all team members are engaged and encouraged to
participate. (Gung Ho! Culture) - Maintain and update a training matrix for all teams within each assigned department, ensuring
skills are identified and properly allocated. - Implement and monitor Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles to improve efficiency
and reduce waste. - Promote a culture of continuous improvement, emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards by collaborating with the quality assurance team and
addressing defects or non-conformities. - Participate in cross-functional teams to address Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and support
internal audits. - Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring timely completion of customer orders while
optimizing resources. - Collaborate with Team Leaders across all shifts to ensure a seamless production system from
work order release to on-time shipment. - Enforce workplace safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant work
environment.Foster a culture of safety, ownership and accountability. - Monitor production costs, identify areas for savings, and work within budget constraints.
- Quickly identify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Work closely with supply chain, engineering, and HR to support production goals and staffing
needs. - Become a Certified Lead Auditor for assisting the QA Team in performing internal audits to
schedule.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Preferred experience within the automotive industry.
- In-depth understanding of project management processes and operational support.
- Proven collaboration skills with the ability to lead by example and drive positive, constructive changes.
- Strong organizational skills to structure and prioritize tasks, with flexibility to handle last-minute
requests. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively engaging with employees, management
at all levels, customers, and vendors.
Salary
$95,000 - $110,000 a year
Schedule: Monday- Friday (8am-5pm)
